Brian Kelly

Since 2022, American college football coach Brian Kelly has been Louisiana State University’s (LSU) head coach. The same role was previously held by him at Notre Dame, where he had notable accomplishments, including two trips in the College Football Playoffs and a BCS National Championship Game. Born in Everett, Massachusetts, on October 25, 1961, Kelly started his coaching career at Assumption College before taking the helm at Grand Valley State, Cincinnati, and Central Michigan. Having been a successful college football coach for more than thirty years, Brian Kelly is a well-known figure in the sport. Before transferring to Grand Valley State University, he started his coaching career as a defensive coordinator at Assumption College. He guided the Lakers to an outstanding 118-35-2 record from 1991 to 2003, when they won two NCAA Division II National Championships.
Following his success at Grand Valley State, Kelly was hired as head coach at Central Michigan University from 2004 to 2006 and then the University of Cincinnati from 2006 to 2009, when he won the Big East championship with an incredible 34-6 record.
